False Account Opened In My Name

    Hey there. I need help quickly as I think someone is falsifying my identity. I received an email saying that my doming was setup at andrewgodlew.art.blog . The message came from (email visible only to moderators and staff). I did not sign up for this, so I think someone might be using my info without my knowledge. Does anyone know how to close any affiliation with WordPress and end this?

    If someone else was able to set up a site on your wordpress.com account, it means they halve full access to at least your email and your wordpress.com account.
    Or you have a serious securityproblem with your computer.
    As it’s connected to your account, you can close that site yourself.
    Next thing to do: change your password to a strong password and activate Two Step Authentication.
    Never use public computers or open wifi.

    Hi there,

    The site, https://andrewgodlew.art.blog/, was created in your account 3 hours ago. It looks like this was done via the WordPress mobile app on iOS. I see a previous mobile app authorization for your account with Android in April, and prior to that there hasn’t been any activity on your account since you created it in September 2016.

    I see since the site was created you’ve changed your password and enabled two-step authentication. I recommend you do the same things on your email account, as that’s the only way someone else could have gained access to your WordPress.com account.

    If you don’t want this site, you can delete it at My Site ->Manage ->Settings.

    If you don’t plan on using this WordPress.com account, you can also close it completely from https://wordpress.com/me/account/
