False charge by WordPress to my credit card
-
I have been charged $396 by WordPress on my latest credit card statement. I have spoken with Mastercard and they have confirmed the charge was made by WordPress. I want to speak with someone who can explain this reason for this charge and immediately reverse it or I will file a fraud claim with Mastercard as they have suggested.

Hi there,
When you purchased your upgrade initially, there was an agreement to auto renew the subscription. By default, a subscription is set to automatically renew to ensure there’s no disruption in your services, loss of features, or loss of your custom domain name. You are also contacted several times before your card is charged
I would be happy to assist you in cancelling and refunding your purchase. However, the upgrade that was purchased is not associated with the WordPress.com account you contacted us from. To confirm ownership, post in this thread under the username/account that purchased the upgrade. Then, I can look into refunding the subscription purchase.
If you aren’t sure about the charge on your bank statement, you can fill out the form at wpchrg.com and it will help you find the correct account along with what you were charged for. You an also reach out to billing support there directly.
Let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks!
