  I selected the £15 plan for my website; however when I went to the checkout it said £180.

  Hi there, all WordPress.com plans are billed yearly. If you look at the plans or pricing page, you’ll note that below the cost it says “per month, billed yearly.” Currently there is no monthly billing available.
