Fancy Corner around Image on Button 2

I love the look of the fancy corner that can go around Button 2 images. Is it possible to use this vintage corner look while using another theme? I have the CSS upgrade. Also, if I would switch to Button 2 is the fancy corner an option or must it be around all images? Many thanks.

    Hi there,

Is it possible to use this vintage corner look while using another theme?

I took a look at the Button 2 HTML and CSS, and this could likely be done on other themes by following the button CSS as a guide. The image used in the button theme is an SVG image, which we cannot upload to our sites here at WordPress.com at this time, so it would require you to create your own image as a png. It would depend though on the theme you were wanting to do this to since there are a number of different configurations for featured images. Not all of them would work well with this sort of addition.

Thanks @thesacredpath. In the directions to set up Button 2, they referred to some code for the images. https://button2demo.wordpress.com/fancy-image-corners/ It’s a cool concept and I wish that it was offered in more themes. Thanks for answering.

Yeah, that would be nice, but with individual tastes, it may be quite difficult to find corners that everyone who would want to use them would be happy with, or even a majority. A number of themes over the years that have been available here had custom corners on the images by default, and I saw a good number of requests for the CSS to remove them. I guess if it were done like Button 2, where you could choose to use them or not, that would be a lot better.
