FAQ on Domain pricing is unclear

    Domain mapping seems to be a feature of every WordPress tier beyond free. However your most expensive tier is the only one that includes the phrase ‘no wordpress.com branding’. This implies that all other tiers DO have wordpress.com branding. What exactly does this mean? I wish to establish mygroovydomain.ca and create and host it on wordpress.com, with no visitor seeing any wordpress.com branding, ads, etc. Please clarify this FOR EACH PRICING TIER. The last thing I want is to create a site, set up hosting etc, then have a ‘surprise’ thrown in after the fact.

    Hi bfindlay123,

    No Ads:
    To eliminate ads on your blog entirely, you can purchase WordPress.com Personal, WordPress.com Premium, or WordPress.com Business plans.

    No WordPress Branding
    In the footer of your blog you will see blog at wordpress.com or just a W to indicate that it is a wordpress.com site. You can choose how you want to display the wordpress branding in footer by going into My Site -> Settings -> Footer credit -> Change Footer Credit. If you wish to remove the wordpress footer credit entirely you would need to upgrade to Business plan.
