Fatal error

I got the following fatal error after performing updates. Goggle searches say newer version of PHP needs to be installed. However, I can’t login to the site again. Any suggestions? Thanks
Fatal error: Can’t use function return value in write context in /docroot//wp-content/plugins/use-any-font/includes/functions/uaf_admin_functions.php on line 101

Hi there,
I do not see any sites under your @dogman235 WordPress.com account when I check on our end. You can confirm by visiting this page: https://wordpress.com/sites.
Is it possible you created your site under a different login? Is it the case that you are using another provider like GoDaddy, Bluehost, Hostgator, etc. instead? What is the URL of the site you are needing help with?
Happy to check in our system so we can take a closer look.

I am doing updates for a friend. This is the url, http://madelinesharples.com/
The site doesn’t come up anymore, just the error message. There is no way to log back in to the site online. I hope this is retrievable.
Thanks

Hi there,
The site madelinesharples.com appears to be a self-hosted WordPress (also called “.org”) site hosted on Evocative Web Hosting, and not a site hosted on our WordPress.com service.
You can confirm here: https://www.whoishostingthis.com/?q=madelinesharples.com#search=madelinesharples.com
To clarify, we are not the only providers of WordPress sites, and Evocative also happens to offer WordPress sites, but they use a different version of the platform than what we use here. Because of this we are not able to help with your issue as it lies outside of our system. See http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/ for more info.
You can find support for your self-hosted WordPress site here: https://wordpress.org/support/forums/
You may also wish to contact your host’s support team for more assistance.
Hope that points you in the right direction!
