Fatal error: Allowed memory size AND JetPack Plugin
-
Whenever I try to navigate my dashboard to make updates to my website I receive the following error message:
Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 41943040 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 122880 bytes) in /data/10/1/64/161/1064976/user/1098927/htdocs/development/wp-admin/includes/menu.php on line 255I am also not being allowed to activate the JetPack Plugin. I am led to believe this is why some people are being told by their web browsers that the website is not secure.
What should I do?

It looks like you are working with a self-hosted WordPress.org site instead of the WordPress.com-hosted version supported here.
Learn more about the differences between WordPress.com and WordPress.org:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/Here would be a good place to start:
https://codex.wordpress.org/Common_WordPress_Errors#Allowed_memory_size_exhaustedIf that doesn’t work or you have any other questions about this, I would recommend searching on the WordPress.org support forums for similar issues. If you cannot find anything that works, you can start your own thread. The forums are completely separate from each other, so you will need to register an account there if you haven’t done so already.
