I’m trying to make updates to our site cvmams44-1.com, but keep getting the subject error. I inherited this website and have never used wordpress prior to becoming the admin for this site. I attempted to get in to the php files to increase the RAM, but could not connect using my FTP. Everything I’ve ever done on this site has been through the web tool. If anyone can help get me back to the admin menus on the web, that’d be awesome.

It sounds like you are working with a self-hosted WordPress site, so you’ll want to check with your website hosting company or the self-hosted support forums.
Check out the self-hosted WordPress (also known as WordPress.org) support forum at https://wordpress.org/support/
To learn more about the difference between WordPress.com and WordPress.org (self-hosted), take a look at http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

Is there a way I can determine which I am working with? I never received any information about the site being self-hosted.
Thanks! -
WordPress.com sites do not allow FTP access and will not allow you to edit the PHP files, etc. So that’s how I knew you didn’t have a WordPress.com account.
If you visit http://www.whoishostingthis.com and enter your website URL, it may give you some information as to who your hosting company is.
