Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class

  • Unknown's avatar

Without me touching anything, I am now getting this error signal when I try to go to any page on my website (including my admin page) ‘Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class Edin_Theme_Plugin_Enhancements in /home2/ab20246/public_html/wp-content/themes/edin/inc/plugin-enhancements.php on line 10’. I tried logging into HostGator and turning off all the plugins so that I could load the website and figure out if any of them were causing the trouble, but it still didn’t load. Any help would be much appreciated, so thanks in advance. Just a heads up, I’m fairly beginner to all this stuff.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Just to clarify, the blog I need help with isn’t “briencoleman.com” it’s “insideandrewmcleod.com”. Sorry for the confusion, I guess wordpress added that to the bottom because it’s another site that’s on my profile.

Andrew, we’re sorry for the delayed response. It appears that the issue is not with the plugins, but the theme itself

/home2/ab20246/public_html/wp-content/themes/edin/inc/plugin-enhancements.php is the direct error. Also, you might want to turn off error reporting inside the php.ini file.
The thing that needs to be turned off inside this file is called: “display_errors”

Please note that if you are having any issues with a themes or plugins, it is recommended to contact the developer of those themes or plugins as they will be more familiar with known issues and can better troubleshoot.
If you are having issues beyond this or need help with the php.ini file to turn off display errors, it is recommended to contact our live support at 1-866-964-2867 or https://chat.hostgator.com

Thanks for the response gatorspencera, I’ll check with the developer of the theme.
