Fatal error message
-
I have followed these instructions to implement a Donate button on my website and it works for some people, for others, it yields a “Fatal Error” message. Why and how do I correct it?

Howdy,

Chris:
The website url is belowhttp://frankfortlionsclub.wordpress.com/wp-admin/index.php?page=stats
Currently there are seventeen clicks recorded with the following link
paypal.com/us/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_flow&SESSION=2ZLw6DKmCs8333yzmCRbgU-9ZrAfnnrVcDNjA3bnvMtrdb7xsqpZYp3Dg6C&dispatch=5885d80a13c0db1f8e263663d3faee8db2b24f7b84f1819343fd6c338b1d9d60
The above link takes one to the fatal error page which is in the url below
If you go to the frankfortlionsclub.com website stats page you will see the above under Clicks, right under the seventeen there are others directed to paypal that were successful, why? What do I do to correct this. We are in a time constrained fund raiser and this is limiting the amount of money we can raise online.

That’s a transformed link, probably created when someone accessed your donation button while logged in to PayPal. It will work for them, but not for you since you aren’t the particular user.

I’m not sure I understand what you are telling me.
A transformed link is one that has been changed from the original?
What will work for them and not me?
Does that mean that anytime someone is logged on to PayPal, and reverses back to my website the button will change? -
When a logged in PayPal user clicks that link, it changes slightly for them so that they can see their payment options and such.
This type of link only works for the specific PayPal user, so when you click it in your stats, it won’t work for you.
The donation link on your blog works perfectly for everyone, but some of the “Clicks” recorded in your stats may not work for you.
