Fatal error message
-
Hi! I’m working with a client who has a WordPress site that was set up prior to my coming on board. The site has been janky from the beginning, and I don’t have the expertise to fix it other than make minor updates. Now, every time I try to login I receive this message:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function bws_general_menu() in /home/austin_heights/austinheights.ca/wp-content/plugins/contact-form-plugin/contact_form.php on line 36
I can no longer get into the backend of the site. What does this error message mean and how do I fix it?
Any help would be appreciated! – Laura

Correction to the above – the website I’m working with is austinheights.ca (not greenbumb – not sure why that was included, I didn’t type it) – Laura

Laura, austinheights.ca is a self-hosted WordPress (WordPress.org) site and not hosted here on WordPress.com.
I am afraid we are unable to help you here. These forums are only for questions related to WordPress.com sites.
You can post the question on self-hosted WordPress (WordPress.org) forums for help: https://wordpress.org/support/
You can learn the differences between a self-hosted WordPress (WordPress.org) site and a WordPress.com site here.
Suggestion
Additionally, here is a suggestion. The contact form plugin that you use on austinheights.ca seems to be causing this issue. You can login to your site using FTP and manually delete this plugin (thus removing that plugin and its data completely) and it might help fix. Although, I recommend posting on WordPress.org forums or speaking to your hosting provider before doing this.
Extra information
And, https://greenbumb.wordpress.com/ was included on this thread because it’s your primary site on WordPress.com. You can see all the sites linked to your WordPress.com account here: https://wordpress.com/sites

Hello guys. My site is creativeleadership.partners and it has the fatal error as well. Is it your responsibility or the responsibility of the hosting company?
