  • Hello there,

Gosh – it sounds like your host has server upload limits when it comes to being to run crucial updates. Alas, it’s not unheard of on shared hosting environments.

To check, is the site you need help with espaceouvertures.fr? If yes, we wouldn’t be able to help as this site is not hosted on WordPress.com and so we don’t have access to the site. Instead, this site uses self-hosted WordPress.

To explain, WordPress.com is where we provide daily backups, a 24/7 support service and WordPress is optimised to run optimally, with auto-updates conducted as standard.

Self-hosted WordPress, is where the free open source version of the software is obtained form WordPress.org and used on a server, and you’re left to do things on your own. There’s more on the differences here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

You could migrate the site over from your current host (themes, content and plugins as-is) and use our Business plan. This guide explains how to do this here: https://wordpress.com/support/import/import-an-entire-wordpress-site/#import-from-self-hosted-word-press

I hope this is all useful information.
