Fatal error: require() [function.require]:
-
This message concerns my WordPress.com free blog at http://www.billionbrainblog.com, which I’ve been using successfully for several months
Three days ago, while trying to update a post, I got an error message below the editing screen. Then I got a message saying the system was upgrading, please wait. Since then I get this message when I try to access blog (has not changed in three days)
Warning: require(/homez.59/billionb/www/wp-includes/class-wp.php) [function.require]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /homez.59/billionb/www/wp-settings.php on line 68
Fatal error: require() [function.require]: Failed opening required ‘/homez.59/billionb/www/wp-includes/class-wp.php’ (include_path=’.:/usr/local/lib/php’) in /homez.59/billionb/www/wp-settings.php on line 68
…a clue to the problem may be that shortly before this happened, I tried to upgrade to 3.1 by clicking on the upgrade option. I actually tried this several times over the last week or so, but it failed each time. However, there were no consequences the other times…

Upgrading to 3.1 is irrelevant to a WordPress.com blog. http://www.billionbrainblog.com/ does not appear to be a wordpress.com blog. If you have a blog here, please provide the whatever.wordpress.com URL

Quite right – on closer inspection this was another site I set up at nearly the same time as a WordPress.com one, but using the .org approach. Apologies for the confusion. Problem resolved.
