Fauna theme has widgets listed in the options features but…
-
Just starting a new blog. When I try to add a widget I get the message “The theme you are currently using isn’t widget-aware…”
Can you tell me how to enable the widgets in the Fauna theme? Thanks!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

We need a link to the blog please.
At wordpress.COM, the description on the appearance > themes page says:
Fauna
Activate | Preview
A beautiful two-column theme with a gigantic flower header.Tags: fixed width, green, two columns
No where does it mention it is widget aware.
Fauna has predefined widgets in the sidebar, and you cannot add to or edit them. What you see is what you get.

Thanks.
But just so you know, after you’ve activated the Fauna theme and go to your “Manage Themes” page, you can see a list of options and “widgets” is listed in the options there.

If you go to appearance > widgets and there is nothing there, then regardless it is not widget-aware.
Perhaps staff should change the wording on that to something like “predefined” widgets.
There are several themes like that here, but the majority are widget aware.
