  Excuse the lack of technical understanding/language, but am I right in thinking that I can’t apply a favicon to my blog unless I export the software to where I have the url hosted, and then assume responsibility for software updates etc? Thanks, Mick

  You are wrong in thinking that. In fact, it’s easy.

  Go to Settings->General and on that page there’s a place to upload it. It’s also called a “Blavatar” just because techies like to invent words. It’s the same thing, though. Just upload it there.

  Thanks both. The blavatar appears on my grey header when viewing my homepage, but not in my browser address bar or tab (IE8) so I’ve written to support.
