  I am trying to change my blog’s favicon icon, but I cannot seem to find where to do that. The theme I have is Toujours.

  Have you located the relevant support doc at https://en.support.wordpress.com/blavatars/ ?

  I have tried the support doc suggested (as well as cleared my cache after making the change) but the favicon remains the generic wordpress logo. Any other suggestions?

  Your blog’s Blavatar can take a while to refresh, due to browser and the WordPress.com cache. If you cleared your browser’s cache, I suggest you wait a couple more hours to see if it updates.
