favicon is not displaying in ie

  hi, i have a problem in displaying the favicon in internet explorer….but it is displaying in the all other browsers why not in ie.
  <link rel=”shortcut icon”type=”image/x-icon” href=”images/favicon1.ico” /> i have used this tag to display….

  I’ve had the same problem since mid-September – the Gravatar logo has replaced my personal Gravatar image in my browser tabs and address bar. It’s showing in Firefox but not IE7. I’ve done so much cache clearing I’m surprised I have anything left, but I’ve still got the Gravatar logo.

  Go to settings > general. Is the image you want in the address bar and tabs showing there?
