Favicon issues

  I have uploaded a blog picture and saw it as a favicon for seconds on my blog and then poof, went off and didn’t display again. Can you help me with this? How can I add a favicon on my wordpress blog? thanks.

  yes, it appeared after a while. but the rendering is really bad. it get’s really strange appearance, the favicon
