Favicon Not Loading

    I added a “blavatar” to our site using the instructions http://en.support.wordpress.com/avatars/blavatars/ here. The flavicon shows up in the bar next to “blog info” but it’s not on my browser tabs or in the address bar. Does it take more than an hour to be updated by the system, or did i do something wrong?

    You will have to log out, clear your browser cache and cookies, restart your browser and then take another look. If you are using IE, you might even have to clear everything and then restart your computer, and then it still might take a week for it to show up. Some browsers simply hang onto favicons way too long and it is hard to get them to fetch the new one. Also, some ISP’s have invisible proxy servers to lower their bandwidth usage, and in some cases it can take 24-48 hours for those proxy servers to update.
