Favicon uploaded but not working

  Since forwarding my 1and1.co.uk domain to my wordpress.com (so it shows up as wildrobot.co.uk in the address bar) my favicon no longer works and appears as a blank page.

  I have an ico file in my 1and1 root directory but not sure how to link this. I am using the free version of wordpress.com.

  I can’t seem to get the following instructions to work as when i click on plugin it just gives me an option to open a shop.

  I have a gravitar uploaded in the normal way on wordpress but this shows up everywhere with wordpress except the address bar (where i need it most!)

  I feel like the problem lies with the forwarding of my wildrobot.co.uk from 1and1.co.uk as this shows up in the address bar with a blank flavicon.

  Anyone know how to sort this?

  FYI the flavicon shows up if you visit the site through…
  wildrobot2000.wordpress.com
  but not if you visit the site through
  wildrobot.co.uk
