Favicon with bad quality
-
I have uploaded a 128*128 blavatar in PNG, but the favicon looks crappy. I’ve tried with both PNG 8 and 24, but both look the same. When the blavatar is used in other contexts it looks good.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I have the same issue. I tried the same things. Commenting so that maybe we get some support

Here’s how to link your username to your primary wordpress.com blog http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2007/10/06/link-your-username-to-your-blog/ -
@timethief Is it safe to say that if the image has any transparency, it favicon quality will be poor?

Yes.

You’re welcome. About 30% if those who post here are actually wordpress.ORG bloggers posting to the wrong support forum. That is why we ask for blog URLs ie. so we can verify where they are hosted as the answers to questions are not the same.

Thanks for the answer timethief. I have now changed the blogg picture without a transparent background:
http://blogg.lyse.no/I don’t like using a white background here. Would be prettier with a transparent. Other (not wordpress.com) sites has smooth transparent favicons:
