  was trying to put up a custom link on follow me area so that it connects directly to me on fb . but the fb icon in the theme vanished . please help

  Hi –

  The Facebook icon should pop up once you add a link to your page/profile. See here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/social-links-menu/

  Go to My Sites > Customize > Menu > Social Menu to add the links to your specific accounts for each of the networks listed there.
