Hello –
I’ll be glad to help you get this sorted. It sounds like there might be an approval that needs to be acknowledged between WordPress.com and Facebook. Do you see a notification to approve the connection?
There’s more trouble shooting available on this guide: https://wordpress.com/support/post-automatically-to-social-media/
Are you trying to connect to a Facebook account or a Facebook page? You’ll want to scroll down on that guide until you see the information about Facebook pages. There’s a box indicating which types of Facebook pages we are not able to autoshare to from your blog as well.

Oh my! Thank you for responding!
. Do you see a notification to approve the connection? If you’re talking about wp, then yes. It shows as being connected.
Are you trying to connect to a Facebook account or a Facebook page It is to my FB page.I’ve read the first link and done as it says. When I go to the bottom where it says to see what the post will look like on FB. It shows no picture at all on some writing from the post. I posted it anyway to see if FB would grab the picture. It worked of Chrome (although it’s not the full picture which is what I’d like) and nothing showed up on Firefox for some reason.
Also concerning the widget to follow fb in he footer it show correctly in the back end with the image and amount of followers but it doesn’t show up on my website but only the written words “follow me on fb” shows up.

Thanks for the link. Scrolling back about 6 months on that FB page I do not see any posts that have auto shared to it from your WordPress.com blog. There are limitations to what we can incorporate with auto sharing and FB.
Posts can’t be auto-shared to a personal Facebook profile, a Page-only account, a page using Facebook’s new page experience, or a page managed by the Facebook Business Manager.I’m not able to see any behind the scenes details for your Facebook set up. However, if this page falls in to that list above, then the tool is not going to work.
Further investigation I can see that the Publicize tool was successfully connected to that FB page on Sept 14. Looking at the time stamps, and your time zone, and my time zone, and all the time zone math – it appears that the most recent post you made on the blog was published before the Publicize tool was enabled.
I think the best thing to do is try again. The logs on my end all look to be working properly. Write back and let us know if the next post works.
