  it will not load my feature image on 1 page out of 7 I am going to go mad

  You must use an image which is the proper size, it must be uploaded into your library, and you use “set featured image” module.
  For your theme, Twenty Ten:

  An image that is at least 940 x 198 pixels will be used as the header image for that post/page.
