Hey there,
Happy to help you with this.
You should be able to change the featured image in the post itself here: https://stephensonandrewroots.wordpress.com/wp-admin/post.php?post=22&action=edit
Is this where you’re making this change?
The Get In Touch button, is just a blank button at the moment. Are you looking to build a contact page? If yes, we can talk you through this step by step.

Thank you for your reply.Re featured image. On my screen I see a Maltese Cross and a harbour view on the home page.
The cross was my first attempt and I may have set it somehow in the page structure.
I then decided for another image and set the harbour view as featured image. But the cross is still there.
I have tried various things, including removing the cross from the library but it’s still on the page. It appears on the page as a webp file, I format I don’t use.
I would appreciate you help in removing it.
Re Get in Touch button. Please, I would like both options of setting it up to work and also being able to completely remove it.
thanks

Hi!
Re featured image. On my screen I see a Maltese Cross and a harbour view on the home page.
I’m not seeing the Maltese Cross there at the moment! Were you able to remove it?
With regards to the Get In Touch button, I’d like to ask what you’d want it to do? For example should it:
- Lead to a page where visitors can send you a message through the website
- Open up a new email so that people can email you directly
- Something else (and if so – could you let us know what you’re thinking of)
For option 1, you would be looking at a few steps:
- Create a new page, and insert a Form block which lets people send you messages via the site:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/wordpress-editor/blocks/form-block/ - Once the new page is created and published, head back to your main page to edit the Get In Touch button, and turn it into a link that leads to the new page:
https://wordpress.com/support/wordpress-editor/blocks/buttons-block/#linking-a-button
For option 2, you could add your email address as a link to the button instead. The “linking” process is the same as mentioned just above:
https://wordpress.com/support/wordpress-editor/blocks/buttons-block/#linking-a-buttonBut to get the button to connect with your email address, you’d want it to be a “mailto” link, as described here:
https://wordpress.com/support/email-links/#creating-email-linksLet us know what you’d prefer if there’s something else you’re thinking of! We’re here if you have other questions.

Thank you for that helpful advice.
BTW, I had inserted the cross into the home page template and have now removed it.
Those options for the email are exactly what I need, that’s appreciated.
But what if I decide it’s not a good idea and want to remove the Get in Touch button, does that require CSS editing?
Thanks again

No in this case you are able to edit the template directly: https://wordpress.com/site-editor/stephensonandrewroots.wordpress.com
You can click on the button (to make it active) and hit the delete key on your keyboard to remove it from your template, no CSS needed to hide it.
Hope that helps. Please let us know if you have any more questions.
