Feature Image & E-mail Notification

  My feature image shows up in my post and slider. However, it does not show up in the e-mail notification. How do I format my settings so that the feature image I selected shows up in the e-mail notification that goes out to subscribers (and not my picture)?

  The themes I use all support custom excerpts, at least for categories and archives. But I’m wondering if you were to use that custom excerpt module if it wouldn’t make your posts go out designed by you?

  Put a small picture and the customized text you want (no embeds like gallery or youtube) into the custom excerpt module. Publish. I remember using a theme some years ago where that worked. Could have changed though.
