Feature image from URL in new editor

    I can’t seem to find how to upload Feature Image from a URL in the new editor. Can someone help me find this?

    Hi there,

    Currently, the new editor is going through some small bugs fixes.
    It will be fixed soon.

    Till then you add the feature image beforehand via URL
    My Sites > Media > Add New > Add via URL

    I have also tagged the staff, so they update for the development team regarding it.

    Hi there,

    The Add via URL option for featured images is something unique to the My Sites editor on WordPress.com. If you look at the original WP-Admin editor, you won’t see it – that is the Core WordPress software.

    The new block editor in both WP-Admin and My Sites is also the Core WordPress software, so that feature doesn’t exist there yet – we are still in the process of adding WordPress.com-specific features like that on our end, but it is being worked on.

    For now, please add the image directly to the media library first as explained above, and then you can select it from the library in the editor.

    Hi there,

    I just wanted to let you know this is now available in the block editor if you create a post from My Site ->Blog Posts ->Add.

    It is still not available in the block editor in WP-Admin, as it is also not available there in the classic editor.
