Feature images in Sela
-
I am using Sela which suits me perfectly except for the feature images which are narrow with the Headline inset. This does not suit racehorses with jockeys aboard – I try to crop the images and end up with some awful results. Can the feature image be changed to a straightforward square or rectangular block?

It’s not possible to change the size of the featured images because those dimensions are set within the theme code and can’t be overridden.
I did notice that some of your featured images aren’t taking up the full space possible, like on this post:

You could try uploading a wider image in that case.
Sela recommends that featured images for posts be at least 820 by 312 pixels.
Featured images on pages should be at least 1180px wide.

Thank you so much. I will try and do what you suggest – but pics aren’t my strong point – unfortunately. Had a horrible feeling that the shape of the featured images could not be changed!
