Hi there,
The Featured Image block on your single post template is set to show at the “wide” width setting: Edit single template here

If you also edit your homepage here: https://efriendwp.wordpress.com/wp-admin/site-editor.php
You can switch the featured image block from it’s current width setting of 664px max to the same “wide” setting that is used on the single post.

Does that make their sizing closer?
Also it’s worth noting that the sample featured image you are using is a bit on the small side. You may wish to consider using a large featured image for testing purposes, as this small image may give a misleading representation of what the blocks are doing.
Hope that helps. Please let us know if you have any more questions.

i did all that but still when i click on the link of my post and i get inside the photo is a little bigger this time not MUCH bigger as before. i put “none 664px” in both. see for youself https://efriendwp.wordpress.com/

Hello there,
It looks like the elements are grouped slightly differently which can result in subtle changes.
You may wish to copy one set of blocks from the single/index templates to the other as seen here:

I hope this helps.

but where to paste block? and how? i have put a feauture image so that it shows on main page. i havent understand sorry. if i paste a block

Hello there,
So this can be posted on either the index template ( https://andreasmultimedia.wordpress.com/wp-admin/site-editor.php?postType=wp_template&postId=pub%2Fblank-canvas-blocks%2F%2Findex ) or the single post template ( https://andreasmultimedia.wordpress.com/wp-admin/site-editor.php?postType=wp_template&postId=pub%2Fblank-canvas-blocks%2F%2Fsingle ).
I hope this helps.

you picked the wrong website, thats ok never mind. this is the website i need help with: https://efriendwp.wordpress.com/ there is where fotos are becoming bigger than feature image when i click on a post and get in
-
You might try adding this CSS: Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS
.wp-block-post-featured-image img {
width: unset;
}..and, then Save.
However, if I understand your concern correctly, this is an issue with all FSE themes which cannot easily be resolved.
Rather than treat Featured Images as separate from post/body content, said images must fill a predefined column width in the Single post view (e.g., 664 pixels, with options of a wider width, or full width).
This causes vertical Featured Images to become over-scaled. The same is true, as noted above, with undersized Featured Images. Display looks fine on phones, but not desktops, laptops or tablets…
I hope this CSS helps – good luck!

Ah my bad!
However, the principal would be the same in this instance, as the grouping of the blocks has the potential to add padding where it’s perhaps not desired there.

thnx for answering but i cannot use CSS i am free user. i have changed all settings/media sector to 100 pixels intentionally, all attributes, but still nothing (so they are not 664px right now)
-
Hi andreasmultimedia, it looks like maybe you’re editing the templates right now. I can’t see anything images on the index.
For the single posts, start here:
https://efriendwp.wordpress.com/wp-admin/site-editor.php?postType=wp_template&postId=pub%2Fblank-canvas-blocks%2F%2FsingleClick the image placeholder.
You should see an “Align” option. Can you make sure that’s set to None? Then save the changes.
-
yes i am editing cause i am furious! :) trying to find a solution, i mean to blogger you put an image you see it then it is the same to main page and the same to post inside. whats more simple than that??? i ll try your link in a while thnx
-
yes it was “none” but no post are showing on home page and i have set it to do that through settings. i dont use static page i mean
-
i am using post template thing to fix it, now it shows (blank canvas) but i cant get it to go one over the other in center at one post i made. if i select the centered one template the photo is huge, in other words i want to use blank canvas and i want to make a site like this: https://www.efriend.gr/
how can i do that with blank canvas?
-
To replicate the look of that site you need to use a theme that supports sidebars. Blank Canvas isn’t designed for blogs like the one you’re trying to build.
So, I went ahead and filtered the themes based on the position and number of the sidebars. You can browse them in the links below.

ok i have chosen a theme but i cant change the font of my post text inside and the colour of the title of my inside post text. is this a theme matter that cannot be changed? does this happens for all themes?
-
For reference are you having this problem on the
mdata intropost or a different one? That is the only active post, the rest have previously been moved to the trash. I just want to be sure that we’re looking at the same thing. -
I went ahead and saved a post detailing how to change the color and typography of the font. https://efriendwp.wordpress.com/wp-admin/post.php?post=8688&action=edit
There are some specific themes and cases where the font can be changed. Take a look at those details here: https://wordpress.com/support/custom-fonts/
