  I really want a static front page that I can choose 3 or so articles to feature. I was thinking of having a page-wide photo with a link to that article, and below it two more half-page wide photos with links to those articles. And I would like the flexibility to switch the feature articles pretty consistently.

  How can I do this? My theme is pilcrow.
