Feature photos on 2014 theme has a grid

  Hi, I’m using the 2014 theme and the featured images are quite wide. I’ve increased my recently posted images to 800 px w and they still don’t fill the space. Can you do a mass change to make the images 100%, or make the image background colour match the selected page colour, or note the max width that the feature image should be?
