  good morning,
  how can I get rid of the feature pic on the body of the post – using CSS

  What CSS is needed will depend on your theme. I looked at http://petebowes.com/ and I see you are using the Linen theme.

  It also helps a ton to look at a specific example. Here is a link to your latest post:

  To hide the featured image on posts only in the Linen theme, add this to your Appearance > Customize > CSS editor:

  .single .wp-post-image {
      display: none;
  }

  The “.single” part is what limits the change to single posts.
