Feature Request: Ability to caption the image in a Media and Text widget

  In my bio, I’d like to give credit to the photographer who took my headshot. I’m using a Media and Text widget (instead of making explicit columns), but I don’t see a way to add an explicit caption to the image. (Putting the credit text in the main flow’s text-panel is not the effect I’m after)
  
  I can add Alt-text to the image, but this is pretty much invisible normally.

  Hi @normbryar, I hope you are doing well today. I love that you want to properly credit your photographer for the good work they did.

  You’re right, the Media & Text block does not have a built-in caption feature like the Image block does.

  Here is what you can do:

  • Use the Image Block and add the caption.
  • Add a paragraph block below the Media & Text block, and include the credit there, then style with e.g italics.

  I believe that the team at WordPress.com will consider adding the caption feature to the Media & Text block in the future.
