Feature request – Ignore author views

  Hi, any chance you could add this feature…
  1) When the author is logged in dont include views on stats.
  2) When the author is viewing page but not logged in, dont include their views on stats – could maybe use IP address to achieve this?

  Please let me know what you think of this request and thanks.

  Hi @shutupnerd, we have something in place that’s a bit like this:

  1) When the author is logged in don’t include views on stats.

  On public sites, we don’t count views for logged-in authorized users, such as admins/authors/editors/etc. We still count those views on private sites, since only those authorized users would be able to access it anyway.

  The second suggestion wouldn’t be feasible, since most connection IP addresses are not dedicated and can change frequently. One author could write from several IPs, and several visitors could view from the same IP.
