Feature request: PayPal.me widget

  Hi all,

  I would really like to see a widget for PayPal.me.

  PayPal.me is a great way for independent bloggers and creators to receive donations. Many users seem to have adopted PayPal as a channel for donations.

  What do you think of providing a proper widget for it?

  Hi Robert,
  I think that’s a brilliant idea and something I would certainly use on my new blog I’ve just set up.

  Thanks for your suggestion, Staff review all suggestions posted into in this Ideas Forum, and if and when they implement them, they contact those who made the requests.

  Meanwhile, know that the only instructions that will work for posting a PayPal donation button on a WordPress.com blog at this time are found here http://en.support.wordpress.com/paypal/

  Note that the PayPal email link is not supported and PayPal customization options are not supported either https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/paypal-button-41?replies=12#post-2517229 This is not likely to be changed any time soon, if at all

  Hi all,

  PayPal.me is only supported in a handful of countries, which makes it difficult to add as it will immediately exclude a significant percentage of users from using it.

  But thanks for the suggestion nonetheless. I’ve added it to our feature request list, but please understand that this won’t be an immediate priority. For now, please use the PayPal donation button as described in the link @timethief provided above.

  Thanks for your official statement. Very appreciated! :-)

  Indeed perhaps PayPal is only supported in a handful countries. Yet it is the quasi-standard of online payment (at least still).
