Feature Request-Previous Theme
-
A user intentionally or accidentally activates a new theme and then wants his or her old theme back but can’t remember what theme they used previously on their site.
If not a full “revert to previous theme” button, it could be a simple history of the previously activated theme in the theme dashboard, much like the header there denotes the current theme in use. (temp screenshot)
This situation seems to come up quite a bit and I think a feature like this would be very helpful to users. Thanks for listening.
PS still missing the “automatically subscribe me to this thread” checkbox from the forum create new topic form.

And clicking the submit button on that form landed me on a 404 page although the topic was created. =:-o

Hi justjennifer,
If not a full “revert to previous theme” button, it could be a simple history of the previously activated theme in the theme dashboard,
Theme changes are listed in My Sites > Stats > Activity — but someone who has made a number of updates since that time would potentially need to scroll quite far down.
I like the idea of having some information which indicates the previous theme on the Themes page though. I’ve made a note of this idea as a possible improvement for the future.
We already have a note of the “automatically subscribe me to this thread” checkbox missing — that’s on our list :)

Thanks @gemmacevans for the reminder about the Stats>Activity tab. I noted that on free sites, activity is limited to the last 20 actions and on sites with upgrade plans it’s 30 days. So depending on whether the site is fairly static or active, the information on theme changes might or might not be available, but I’ll keep the Activity tab in mind.
Thanks for adding this suggestion to the “improvement” idea list. :)
