Feature request: Replace media

  It would be really, really super useful WP allowed users to replace media (images, PDFs, etc.), keeping the same URLs and paths intact.

  Currently this is possible on a WP.org install (via a plugin), but not on WP.com.

  Are there any plans for this feature in the future? Please?

  We have no plans for something like this at the moment, but I’ve added it to our feature request list.

  Just a little bit of support from me, as I’m all for this idea. It’d be very useful to me too!
