Feature that logs page and post additions, updates, removals, etc.
-
As the thread title says, I think it would be hady if there was a (free) feature that creates a public log of whenever site changes are made. Not as detailed as wikipedia or the site-runner’s specific history log, but definitely more detailed than what is already available.
The only things even remotely close to doing the above are the Feed and calender. However, all they do is log post additions. They do not log post updates, post removals and they do not log the entirety of page content.
I think this feature will be very useful to readers of a given wordpress blog/site. They’ll be aware when the site has been updated and will know where to look specifically. Honestly, the current limitation on this aspect makes it very impractical for both parties:
-The blog/site maintainer, who has to constantly make new posts if he wants readers to know whenever he updates the site; and even then, it’s at his discretion to exhaust every single change made at a given time.
-The reader, who would have to trial-and-error, page by page, the entire site for any changes made that aren’t covered by the maintainer. The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)
