Featured Article not being included in tags?

Add topic to favorites
I am looking for my featured article in my TAG and it is not listed. Is this a bug, or has it always been this way?

If so, why can featured articles not be found in a tag search?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi,

A post will only be included in tag search results if the tag has been added to that post. Can you provide an example where a specific tag archives page doesn’t include every post assigned that tag?

If you look at my featured article on my homepage, then click on the tag “Seoul” at the bottom of that page, then the post does not appear in the tag results.

I got the same result as you. The Seoul tag archives page doesn’t contain the featured article, which does have the Seoul tag assigned to it. Might be a bug in the theme. I’ll tag the topic for staff attention. Please wait for staff to respond.

Hi @backpackerlee , this is a theme setting. Go to Customize > Theme and uncheck the box that says “Only use featured images on blog index” … cheers!

The issue is not about featured images, it’s about a post which is tagged as a featured article not appearing in the tag archives page corresponding to another tag assigned to the post (“Seoul,” in this case).

Ah, I must have misunderstood.

So this post is sticky on the blog posts page, but does not show up as the first post within its category — is that the issue?

The post in question was unticked from being a Featured Article on the home page of my blog, now it appears in the tag page where it should do.

However, no STICKY article is ever included in the tag search when I look through it.

Oh ok, yeah the sticky article now seems to be included in the tag search. It wasn’t yesterday, but it seems to be ok now. :)

I’m also getting the correct results on tags archives pages now, corresponding to tags on the sticky post. When I tested previously, in the case of the “Seoul,” a tag assigned to the feature article at that time, I didn’t find the post in the tag archives page. It wasn’t that I was looking for it as the first post within its category. I looked at all posts in the “Seoul” tag archives page and didn’t find it.
