Featured content areas not displaying in Textbook theme
-
I’m setting up a demo site to show some colleagues some ideas for our website, and chose the Textbook theme in part because of the way it allows featured content. However, despite creating a “featured” tag, those featured pages don’t display on the main page. Any advice?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hey miskatonicculinaryinstitute,
Adding the tag isn’t enough. You have to set the static page you want to show on the front page.
Please check this guide to set the static Home Page. https://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/front-page/
And this tutorial of adding featured content will also help you. https://en.support.wordpress.com/featured-content/
Thanks

I have the static page set as my home page, and I’ve done everything it says to do in the tutorial, or at least I think I have. It still won’t show. I put text in the customizable area to display, and it doesn’t display. The “featured” tagged posts don’t display, nor do they if I change the tags to different tags on both the featured content option in customization and on the pages themselves.

Okay. Apparently the features I want only show up when I use the “latest posts” setup, not the static page. That’s disappointing. I’ll see if this will work for me.
