Featured content slider as a slideshow
-
Hi everyone, I used the featured content slider of the olsen theme as an image slideshow, the only problem is that the slider is 1010x545px and the images are 1280x800px… is it possible to adapt it with CSS?
And also, is it possible to make them appear randomly?
Thanks in advance. The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Images should be either resized or cropped by default, there should be no need for external CSS for it. Also randomizing images is a feature of the slider, you should enable it.

Every theme has a detailed theme description page. This one is at Every theme has a detailed theme description page. This one is at https://wordpress.com/theme/olsen and that’s where set up instructions for it and the live demo site link is found.
Featured Images are 720 wide and have no height limit. Images that appear on the Featured Content slider are 1010 wide by 545 tall.
Note 1: Any WordPress.COM user with the required upgrade you can use this link https://en.forums.wordpress.com/forum/css-customization#postform so you can create a thread that will appear in the CSS Forum where you will get the help you need with CSS editing.
Note 2: You can also post there prior to purchasing an upgrade to get an answer to whether or not what you want to do can be accomplished via CSS editing.

@grassoart, the theme and WordPress software actually create a resized and cropped image off of the one that you upload to use for the slider. We can resize what is there to some extent, but we cannot recover what the software has cropped off.
The slider will go in date order, I believe. There is no way to make it random.
