Featured Content Slider – Blissful Blog Theme
-
Hi there!
I’m new to WordPress and am trying to set up a featured content slider at the top of my blog! Is this possible? I was reading about it and it said it was an option but I don’t know if I have to have a premium account or not or if I am mistaken and it is not an option! Any help is appreciated :)The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

This site is wearing Chateau https://creativeandchaos.wordpress.com/
1. What is the URL of the site wearing Blissful Blog?
2. Have you consulted the detailed theme description page and specifically noted the “Full-Width Featured Content Slider” section there?
The Featured Content Slider images are a minimum of 920 wide by 640 tall. -

Hmm I’m still not seeing what I’m looking for. It is possible to have a featured content slider? The idea is to have a section at the top of the page under the header image that scrolls having a couple pictures from featured blog posts

This theme does not have that feature https://theme.wordpress.com/themes/chateau/
The free themes that do have post sliders are found here https://theme.wordpress.com/themes/features/post-slider/?sort=free and you cannot chnage the way the themes and the post sliders are designed to operate.

re: changing themes
Themes are just “skins” on WordPress.COM hosted blogs. You can quickly and easily change themes on any WordPress.COM hosted blog to another one found here http://wordpress.com/themes/ and no data will be lost or negatively affected by the change. The only time you may have to do some work is if you are changing to a dramatically different theme and have done any CSS editing.Provided you are logged in as Admin under the same username account that registered the blog go to Dashboard > Appearance > Themes, Browse themes until you find one you like and click the “activate” or the “preview” link, or type in the name of the theme you want to use when it appears.
After you change your theme all you need to do is go here Dashboard > Appearance > Widgets > Inactive Widgets and re-install them where you want them to appear. The widget contents and settings will be the same as they were prior to changing themes.
Note that every theme will have a detailed theme description page with set up instructions and a live demo site page that you can consult. Here’s an example:
