  I want to have a featured image for my blog post so it shows up on my main page, but I don’t want it to show up in my actual blog post because it is huge.

  Hi there,

  This would not be a setting or option available within WordPress.com itself.

  I am also not aware of any WordPress.com themes that will do this, but you can certainly give it a try searching for one.

  Some alternative solutions I can suggest would be to use a theme that…

  • places the image in a way that will not disrupt the flow of text, like https://wordpress.com/themes/dyad/
  • displays smaller sized Featured Images on both the front page and in post body, or
  • uses a post format like ‘aside’ that does not display the featured image in the post body.
