Featured Image

I made a post but the image I gave it only shows up under the category and not with the post itself. Here’s the post: https://folklearning.wordpress.com/2018/09/02/a-rising-tide-by-sarah-doudney/ . A sunflower is the image but that’s the image for the About page or for the whole blog. The post itself should show a different one ; when I go to one of the categories it shows it there: https://folklearning.wordpress.com/category/my-mother-ruth/ . Is it this way for the most recent posts–I think I read that…?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
The theme you’re using does not have an option to have featured images appear on the post itself. It will show on the main Posts page and on category pages, but not if you view the post at its own link.

Oh, so it sounds like I should pick a different theme. I’ll have to see how easy that is to do. Can you recommend a theme off hand?

Theme choices are very subjective, and I don’t really know what type of look and feel you’re going for with your site.
But I checked again and I see you’re actually using an older version of the Button theme. If you switch to the new version, Button-2, you will have the option to have featured images display on posts.
Go to My Site ->Themes and search for and activate Button-2. Then go to My Site ->Customize ->Content Options – you’ll see a checkbox to show featured images on posts there.
