Please open your own support request at https://wordpress.com/help/contact and include a link to the specific post you’re sharing that’s not showing the featured image, and we can take look. Also please specify to which social media platform you’re trying to share.

the issue is that I have tried several SEO plugins and non seems to work either well or not at all. I am currently using all SEO plugin but on whatsapp, the featured image will show sometimes and sometimes it wont.

If it happens again, use https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/ as that’s a great tool for identifying the problem.

yes, that particular one is indeed showing but my recent post isn’t showing thumbnail previews in WhatsApp only. it is showing everywhere else

It’s definitely configured properly with the right image in the og:image tag, so you may need to contact WhatsApp support about this.
