Featured Image

  Ever since the latest OS update on MacBook Air MacOs Catalina 10.15.2 I have been having problems inserting my Featured Images. I get the error message which indicated that the image is not big enough in terms of pixels. I can use Blocks for writing my blogs. However, I can only use classic editor to post my blogs with a featured image. Any ideas? Thank you.

  Hi @1dancequeendq, that’s quite odd. Are you already uploading images that are large enough, or are they smaller than spec but you could still upload those previously?

  Also, could you confirm which site you need help with?

  Hi, I have exactly the same issue.
  Each time I try to load a picture for the feature image of my articles, I can’t save my article.

  Hi @fredericleguen, sorry to hear that. The original poster didn’t answer my troubleshooting questions yet, but perhaps you can help:

  Are you already uploading images that are large enough, or are they smaller than spec but you could still upload those previously?

  Also, could you confirm which site you need help with?

  One more question: are you using a browser or our desktop app? If it’s a browser, which one?

  I did try to respond to supernova’s question but I had a problem with the website. I was uploading images that were smaller than spec but they worked as the featured image.
  I reduced pictures as they were very large in some cases. Some I uploaded in their original format but smaller than the size the featured image seems to be requesting.

  I use mostly use safari on my desktop as I have a Mac. However I occasionally use Google.

  Instead of resizing the image, could you try to optimize it as explained here?

  Optimize Your Images

  Make sure that the image has the correct size in pixels and let us know if the issue persists.

  I have finally managed to sort out this issue. I use a MacBook Air. What I have done is this selected image then gone to tools in Preview and used custom settings in order to obtain the correct pixel sizes to fit the Featured Block.

  i can now use Blocks instead of old editor.

  I will keep you posted over the next few days as I have two blogs to prepare and I hope that the steps I have taken will remain consistent. Thank you for your help so far.
