Currently have Airplane as theme. Does this support a featured image on other pages, if not do i need to change themes. Can I use one of my pictures from my photos? If i change themes do i loose all customizing i have done?

The theme on your site is called Plane. We have no theme on WordPress.com called Airplane:

You can add featured images to any post or page in any theme, but not all themes display featured images. Plane is one of the themes that doesn’t display featured images anywhere, but featured images are still used for post thumbnails in, for example, the Related Posts section, and are used by search engines and social media services, for example, the preview generated on Facebook when you share a post.
If i change themes do i loose all customizing i have done?
It depends on what you mean by customizing. You’ll lose customizations you’ve done in the Customizer, e.g. custom colors, custom CSS code, the custom header might be removed, some widgets might be removed, etc.
But the content of your posts and pages that you created inside the editor won’t be affected in any way.
