Featured image

Is there a way for me to have my featured image appear on my pages but not in my actual post? Also is there a way to alter the size of my featured image? I have tried to settings but every time I open up my post there is just a huge version of my featured image and I don’t want it like that. I also want to know if I can move it to a different spot on my post.

Hi there,
This depends on your theme, and the Spearhead theme you have at the moment doesn’t have an option to hide the featured image on the single post view.
You have two options to do this:
1) On our Premium Plan and higher, you can use custom CSS code to either hide or resize the featured image on single posts. We will help with the code for this type of change, so you don’t need to worry about not knowing any CSS :)
2) If you switch to one of our newer themes (the ones listed under Recommended in the theme showcase), you’ll have access to the site editor. In the site editor you have control over the templates for your site, so you can modify the default post template to not include featured images, or to control the size of featured images if you prefer.
Let me know if you have any questions about this.

If i switch the theme does it make it possible for me to change the size of my featured image in my actual post? or just on the blog page?

Hi @purejoy4,
If you’re looking to change the visibility and size of your featured images using a full site editing (FSE) block theme, you can select one from here: https://wordpress.com/themes/filter/full-site-editing/
With FSE, you can create or edit templates that allow you to customize how the post featured image block is displayed.
To learn more about FSE, here’s a great resource: https://learn.wordpress.org/course/simple-site-design-with-full-site-editing/
Hope that helps.
