featured image

  When I try to share a post on FB the featured image I have set does not show. It chooses another image which is not related to the post. My theme supports featured image and I haven’t had that problem before.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi there.

  Could you try to run the URL of your post through Facebook’s Debugger tool? Facebook sometimes shows cached images, you can use their Debugger to ‘Fetch new scrape information’ and update the shared image:

  https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/og/object/

  That’s the one. I played with the size of the other image and it worked finally but these one although I tried any size can’t be seen when posted on FB.

  Hi there.

  I copied the post URL you provided and pasted it into Facebook’s Debugger tool here:

  https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/og/object/

  After clicking the ‘Show existing scrape information’ button, I could see that an older, unrelated image was being shared alongside your post. I then chose the option to ‘Fetch new scrape information.’ The updated screenshot of what your post will look like when shared to Facebook now shows the post’s Featured Image. :) Could you take a look and let me know if that helps out?

  Glad that helped!

  Facebook sometimes display unrelated images that they’ve stored in a cache for previous shares from your site. This shouldn’t happen every time you share a post but, in case when it does, you can use the Debugger to ‘Fetch new scrape information’ and force a refresh.
