Featured image can't be removed from top of page?
-
Im trying to get the “Morden” theme set up, and it seems as though there is no way to get the featured image to stop displaying at the top of the page?
There is a box in the theme editor to remove this, but checking/unchecking the box has no effect.
Is this a feature of the theme, or a glitch of some sort?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi,
If you’re referring to the image at the top of your homepage, that’s neither a featured image nor a header image, it’s the background image in a Cover Block. It seems that the way to remove the image is to remove the block. It can also be replaced at described in the Replace Image section of the support page.
I’m not sure if you can have a cover block without an image, so I’ll tag the topic for staff attention. Staff will respond here.

Hello there,
Musicdoc1 is correct – this looks to be a cover block there.
This can be deleted via the block toolbar: https://wordpress.com/support/wordpress-editor/blocks/cover-block/#block-toolbar
I hope this helps!
